Question 1

How much does Blood Dungeon cost, and where can I play it?

Accepted Answer

It launched on August 25, 2026 for $9.99. You can play it on PC (Steam, Windows and macOS), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Question 2

Is Blood Dungeon on Game Pass?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Blood Dungeon launched day one on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud. Xbox lists it for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; availability can change, so check the current Xbox store listing before subscribing.

Question 3

Can I play Blood Dungeon offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes in practice: it’s a single-player game, so nothing about progression depends on being online. On Steam, features like achievements and Steam Cloud sync need a connection, but the game itself doesn’t.

Question 4

How many characters are there, and which should I start with?

Accepted Answer

There are 11 playable characters in the Steam records covered by this site. Everyone starts with Gun Man. The original 8 unlockable characters have exact published conditions — kill 50 spiders for Leggy, buy 10 Bone Shop items for Baby, and so on. Ana joined in v2026091805, and Yung Venuz joined in v2026093002. Yung Venuz starts with the SMG, gains more Money as he levels up, and gets a brittle boost every 5 levels. The official patch notes do not state how to unlock either character.

Question 5

How do unlocks work?

Accepted Answer

Unlocks are challenge-based: the 45 achievements list every condition exactly, from defeating a first boss to open the next arena, to staying airborne for 5 seconds for Bug. Separately, Bones collected during runs are spent at the Bone Shop, where the Dogmancer trades them for permanent upgrades that make later runs stronger.

Question 6

Does it support controllers?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Steam listing confirms full controller support, and the game is built around movement, so a controller is a natural fit.

Question 7

Does the demo save transfer to the full game?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The official demo page states that saves will transfer to the full game, so anything you unlock in the demo is still there if you buy the full release. The demo itself includes 1 level, 2 characters, and a limited weapon set.

Question 8

How does the Daily Run work?

Accepted Answer

The Daily is a separate challenge mode with its own entrance. Playing it once unlocks the Vampire Ring item, and your score is ranked on the global leaderboard. Meta upgrades from the Bone Shop do not apply inside the Daily, so everyone starts on equal footing.

Question 9

How does it run on Steam Deck?

Accepted Answer

Steam Deck Verified. GamingOnLinux confirmed smooth performance on Proton 11 with a Steam Controller in their August 26, 2026 review.
