Low framerate on an older PC or laptop

The official minimum spec targets 60 fps at 720p on low quality, so start there: drop the resolution to 720p and set quality to low. On laptops, plug in the charger and make sure the game is using the dedicated GPU (Windows Graphics settings → add the game → High performance) if you have one.

Blood Dungeon supports Steam Cloud. In Steam, open the game’s Properties → General and confirm Steam Cloud is enabled, then let the sync finish (the cloud icon next to the Play button) before launching on the other machine. If Steam shows a sync conflict, pick the newer save.

The game won’t launch at all

Verify the install first: Steam → Library → right-click Blood Dungeon → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. That fixes most launch failures after a patch. If it still won’t start, update your graphics drivers — the game needs DirectX 11.

The August 30, 2026 update added a save-file backup system and fixed crashes from the offline leaderboard and the Artillery/Suckhole combination. Update first and do not delete local save files while checking whether the backup restores your progress.
