Blood Dungeon Demo: What It Includes
Updated 2026-10-02
Blood Dungeon has a free demo on Steam, listed as its own app (Blood Dungeon Demo). Messhof describes it as a small portion of the game meant to give you a sense of how it plays.
What is in the demo
Per the official demo store page:
- 1 level to play.
- 2 characters (the current Steam full game has 11).
- A limited weapon set (the full game has over 100 weapons and upgrades).
The full game has 6 arenas. Steam now has 11 playable characters: Ana arrived on September 22, and Yung Venuz arrived in the October 1 Steam update. The demo still offers a smaller selection of quests and upgrades. The October update has not been confirmed for the console versions.
Save transfer
Your demo progress carries over. The official demo page states: "Saves will transfer to the full game!" So anything you unlock while trying the demo is still there if you buy the full release.
Should you play it
If you are unsure whether the movement-focused autoshooter loop is for you, the demo is enough to find out. It covers the core loop of running, jumping, climbing and letting your auto-fire weapons clear the horde, plus the first taste of unlocking rewards between runs.
Download it from the Blood Dungeon Demo Steam page. Ready to buy after trying it? The platforms and release guide covers the price and every version of the full game.
